Out of all of the various topics we cover here at Millennial Hobbies, prepping and preparedness is by far the favorite. Growing up in the great outdoors and also being aware of the potential for insanity on our planet has given prepping a special place in my heart. Most of the gear I have purchased and tested over the years has been with preparedness in mind and we hope some of our reviews and recommendations are useful to you in your journey of getting prepared for the future.
Why Get Prepared?
Life happens. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. Being prepared for disasters or even small inconveniences can go a long way for your quality of life and it can be done on a gradient scale.
Being prepared with long lasting foods, water filters & equipment can help you get out of many sticky situations. I know many people who were affected by the terrible Norcal fires in 2018 – 2020 as well as the recent Eaton & Palisades fires in Southern California. Needless to say there were many people who were not prepared and suffered because of it.
Whether preparing for natural disasters, man-made disasters or anything else, having the right gear to navigate trying times is invaluable.
